Radical Perspective Change (Beyond Time) (50x50cm)

A fly lives for only 30 days. Watching one at our dinner table, we felt like giants—our 50, 60, 80, or even 90 years seemed like eternity in comparison. But what if I looked at my own life the way I look at that fly’s?

Zooming out—beyond our daily scale, beyond time, into space or eternity—the difference between 50 and 90 years begins to fade. Some things lose their significance. Others, unexpectedly, gain it. What are those things? What will truly matter in eternity?

This piece invites you to imagine yourself as one of the small rocks in the installation. You might begin by comparing yourself to others—your lifespan, intelligence, physical appearance, wealth. Do you have more or less? Then, take a step back. Zoom out. View it all from a distance—from the perspective of eternity. What remains meaningful?
